WESTON COUNTY DEMOCRATIC PARTY
MINUTES
The meeting was called to order by Chair Debra Piana at 2:00 PM at the Weston County Library. Nine members were present.
[One new attendee] was welcomed to the group.
Minutes Approval: Minutes of the September meeting were approved as read.
Treasurers Report:
Beginning Balance: $820.81
Deposits 45.00 (Call for funds)
Withdrawals: 200.00 (Upton Food Bank)
Ending Balance $665.81
The treasurer’s report was approved as presented.
New Business:
Chair Deb was contacted by Greg Haas regarding the fee of $120 for our website link on Wyoming Democrats website. Treasurer Pam Penfield said she would get it paid.
Chair Deb made a motion to appoint Deb Smith committee woman for precinct 1-2. Pam Penfield seconded the motion. After discussion, motion was approved.
Chair Deb thanked Tiereny, Pam Penfield, Bill, and Jim for their help with the election. Deb said the election itself went smoothly. But post-election, not so much. WC Republican Chair, Kari Drost, contacted Chair Deb with concerns about how County Clerk Hadlock handled the election results. Drost requested that WC Dem’s join the Republicans in signing a non-partisan petition to Governor Gordon for the removal of Clerk Hadlock. After lengthy discussion, the central committee voted not to participate in the petition. (motion by Deb Smith, second by Tiereny)
